A measure for cycle-friendly habits

Safe cycle parking is a green measure to get more people to cycle. At a time when many people have been at home a lot, this is a positive measure to motivate more people to incorporate cycling as the natural means of transport when slowly returning to everyday life. Mayor Hanne Tollerud was responsible for the opening of ten new bike lockers in the pedestrian street in Moss Sentrum.

-         It is pleasing to see that Moss Municipality is investing in cyclists. Both the location and the price model open the way for many people to take advantage of the offer, says marketing manager Ellen Loxley at Bikely.

Bikely is a Norwegian-developed solution that is produced in Trondheim, where the company also has its head office. The concept was started by entrepreneur Hallvar Bergh when he wanted to do something to prevent bicycle theft. The first bike lockers came on the market in May 2020 - and now Bikely can be found from Tromsø in the north to Kristiansand in the south. Production takes place in Trondheim, and delivery of the cabinets is compensated by Chooose. Bikely focuses on both the public and private market, and has so far contributed to 15,000 safe bicycle parking spaces.
